Summer Solstice Sunrise

Super String theory and other such stuff...you can play along if you wish.I took this photo just as the Sun was making It's entrance on the day of the Summer Solstice. My David and I had gone camping and the light reflecting on the water was beautiful. I recently discovered a similarity between this photo and the cover of Kate Bush's latest release Aerial. It may be a stretch of my own imagination but, never the less I saw it.

Excellent! I can see the similarity too. It reminds me of the microcosm/macrocosm concept - or 'as above, so below'. Especially when I start thinking about some of the similarities between the movement of light and sound (I assume the Kate Bush picture is related to the latter).

Thanks for your comment on my Superman post. I'm going through a bit of a weird time spiritually at the moment, sort of a consolidation period. You know, when you have a heavy time of big change and then you need to get to grips with it. I feel a bit like the world has been subtly altered overnight while I was sleeping, and no one copied me into the memo. My theme tune ought to be "I can see clearly now" because so many of my perceptions have changed, almost overnight.

Without going into too great a detail, what with the house move and certain character conflicts and bitchcrafting going on, I feel like my current magical group is falling apart. And so I've begun to look more locally and am amazed at just how many people there are out there, pretty much under my nose, and all the synchronicity of chance meetings with fellow Pagans. The coincidence fairy is definitely lending me a hand!!

I realise now that when a magical group works well, it's sort of a cross between being in an intimate relationship and being in a family. But while you can pick your intimate relationships, you can't pick family members, and you can't really 'divorce' yourself from true family either.

When a magical group that did work well starts to end, as all inevitably must for one reason or another, it can be very traumatic - and I know of people who have gone through some very bad 'breakups' in the process.

Let's hope the same will not apply here, to me...

PS if you want any advice about finding a group, let me know as I've run the mill and am about to run it again and therefore may be able to help! Logged in anonymously as I don't want people I care about to read this before I actually talk to them about the problem...

Peace...
